Striker Wout Weghorst from VfL Wolfsburg has been infected with the corona virus.
The Bundesliga club announced this on Monday.
The 29-year-old Dutchman will therefore definitely be absent from VfL on Wednesday in the important Champions League game against Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg (6.45 p.m. / DAZN).
Wolfsburg - According to the Wolfsburg-based company, Weghorst complained of symptoms on Sunday morning after the 2-0 defeat at Union Berlin.
He then tested positive for the coronavirus.
The striker has been in quarantine since then.
All other tests on players, coaches and supervisors were negative on both Sunday and Monday, according to the club.
