This Tuesday, the Cumbre Vieja volcano, in La Palma, Spain, will celebrate 30 days of activity.

During this time, the emanated lava has buried more than 760 hectares of land and destroyed more than 2,000 buildings.

Stavros Meletlidis, a volcanologist at the Spanish Geographical Institute, explains the other dangers posed by lava.
