Three days after an attack on a 19-year-old in the old town of Düsseldorf, the young man succumbed to his injuries.
He died in the hospital on Tuesday, the police said.
The investigators assume a homicide.
According to previous knowledge, there had been a fight between several people on Saturday night.
Düsseldorf - The 19-year-old was attacked with a glass bottle and had an emergency operation that night.
Since then, the police have been looking for the unknown perpetrator.
The homicide investigation into the incident was in full swing, it said.
