Go shopping and go to the hairdresser?

Without mask?

That will soon be possible again in Hamburg.

Provided you are vaccinated or have recovered.

Hamburg - Hamburg was the first federal state to introduce the 2G option model at the end of August.

This allowed the state to let the operators of so-called public facilities, such as restaurants, bars, clubs, museums, churches, decide for themselves whether they want to make their offers exclusively for those who have been vaccinated and recovered.

This regulation will be extended from Saturday.

Hamburg: 2G option model from Saturday, exceptions for retailers

Body-close services as well as parts of the retail trade are thus included in the 2G option model. In participating facilities, vaccinated and recovered people are exempt from some corona restrictions - visiting the hairdresser or shopping in retail will be possible without a mask. Unvaccinated people then automatically no longer have access. Children and young people under the age of 18 are still an exception. They are exempt from the obligation to provide evidence, so they can still take part in 2G offers.

Shops for daily needs are also excluded from the option rule.

In addition to supermarkets and discounters, this also includes drug stores, pharmacies, baby markets, kiosks and newsagents.

Here you still have to wear a mask and keep your distance.

Many federal states lead the discussion about the introduction of a 2G rule in supermarkets very differently.

In Hesse and Lower Saxony, the 2G rule for supermarkets would theoretically be possible, Bavaria has so far strictly rejected such an option.

Christmas time during Corona: Free decision of the operator

There is also good news from Hamburg for the approaching Christmas season: The Christmas markets will take place there, too, and the operators themselves can decide whether they want to use the 2G or 3G rule.

However, the Hamburg Senate does not plan to lift all corona restrictions for the time being, so the ban on alcohol sales outside the home will continue from 10 p.m.
