Tragedy in Rocca di Botte (L'Aquila) where a 5-year-old girl died after being run over by a football goal while playing in a disused sports field in the Camerata area.
The little girl, originally from Acilia, had arrived in the village - which has just over 800 residents - to visit some relatives and was playing in the presence of her parents.
The dynamics of the accident still remain to be clarified.
Rescuers arrived immediately on the spot and a helicopter ambulance from L'Aquila also left, but there was nothing to do for the little one.
The carabinieri of the Compagnia di Tagliacozzo investigate the matter.
