A 96-year-old had a serious accident with his pedelec in Ottobrunn.
He drove a car right in front of the hood.

- On Monday around 9 a.m., a 52-year-old from the southern district of Munich drove his Skoda, coming from Putzbrunner Strasse, on the residential street Am Bogen.
At the same time, a 96-year-old, also from the southern district, crossed the street with his three-wheeled pedelec, model Easy-Rider, and disregarded the right of way of the car, reported the police.
96-year-old seriously injured
As a result of the collision, the pensioner fell and sustained serious injuries, including a head wound.
The ambulance took him to the hospital.
There was minimal property damage to the vehicles.
The Munich traffic police have started further investigations.
Traffic police advise: wear a helmet
In this context, the traffic police point out that a bicycle helmet can prevent or at least minimize serious head injuries, despite the fact that it is not mandatory to wear a bicycle helmet.
