Dozens of Palestinians participated this evening in a vigil in the West Bank city of Jenin, denouncing the violations that prisoners are subjected to in Israeli occupation detention centers.
Wafa Agency stated that the participants in the sit-down organized by the Palestinian national forces in Jenin camp in support of the captive movement raised Palestinian flags and pictures of the hunger strikers and prisoners who were stripped of their freedom from Gilboa prison and re-arrested, and banners denouncing the violations of the occupation against them.
The participants called on all international institutions to assume their responsibilities regarding the systematic injustice to which the prisoners are subjected in the occupation's prisons, and to pressure them to release them immediately.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including about 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
