A woman in Illinois shot and killed a man after he refused to kiss her in front of his girlfriend last Thursday, according to local media reports.
Claudia Resendiz-Florez, 28, a mother of three, had recently separated from her husband and
moved to the couple's Preserve at Woodfield apartment complex at
4700 Arbor Drive, prosecutors and police said. from Rolling Meadows.

Last week, the three were in the house drinking when Resendiz-Florez, a mother of three young children, asked James Jones, 29, to kiss her.
He refused and instead kissed his girlfriend, apparently making Resendiz-Florez jealous, as The Daily Herald reports.
According to prosecutors, it
was then that her behavior changed and she again demanded that Jones kiss her.

He refused again and she took the gun from him that was between the sofa cushions and pointed it at him.
Then he unhooked the gun and Jones pushed the defendant's arm down.
Investigators say at this point she raised her arm again and shot Jones in the chest with a single shot.
Two minors aged 12 and 14 are being shot by the police.

The victim's girlfriend called 911. First responders arrived and found the gun still in the room next to Jones' body.
Resendiz-Florez was arrested and charged with first degree murder

Police say he confessed to the crime, according to the aforementioned newspaper.

Judge John F. Lyke Jr. ordered Resendiz-Florez to remain in the Cook County Jail without bond.
He is expected to return to court on Tuesday.
