Tehran -Sana
Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Iranian Foreign Minister, expressed his country's deep concern over the escalation in Afghanistan, especially the terrorist attacks carried out by ISIS militants against that country.
IRNA quoted Abdullahian as saying during a telephone conversation with his Omani counterpart Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi that Iran is interested in the high position of neighboring countries in terms of the foreign policy of the new government in Iran, stressing the need to continue consultations between Tehran and Muscat on regional and international issues.
In the call, the two sides confirmed the continuation of talks between Iran and Oman and ways to expand relations in various political and economic fields of common interest.
Abdullahian added that his country is ready to implement the projects previously agreed upon with the Sultanate of Oman. The Omani Foreign Minister also renewed the invitation to his Iranian counterpart to visit Muscat.
