Culture sponsor Osman Kavala: Turkey has so far ignored the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights
The cultural sponsor was arrested in October 2017 and arrested in early November of the same year.
A trial against Kavala and more than 50 other defendants is pending in Istanbul.
They are accused of, among other things, attempted coup and espionage in connection with the Gezi protests that were critical of the government in 2013.
The European Court of Human Rights already demanded Kavala's release in 2019.
Turkey has so far ignored the judgment, although as a member of the Council of Europe it is actually obliged to implement it.
