Moosen - A lot has happened in the past 20 years since the Neighborhood Aid (NBH) Moosen was founded by Anita Lechner.

Chairwoman Andrea Paulik looked back at the annual general meeting in the Gasthaus Zuhr, recalled the highlights, workload, name change, frustration and joy.

The association currently has 107 members, including 25 active members. In the previous year, seven new ones were added, four left the club and three died. 526.5 working hours were worked due to the pandemic. There have been years in which there were 1400 hours, the average is 700 hours. In the 20 years it was, according to Paulik, a total of “a remarkable 14,652.5 hours of work and 5249 hours of volunteer work”. The missions have changed because in the past few months, due to the short-time work, the families have increasingly been at home and have moved closer together again. 371.25 hours were spent on gardening and domestic help, 68 hours on elderly and child care and 87 hours on driving services. To do this, the helpers drove 811 kilometers. That is also why there were fewer missions,to ensure the protection of aid workers, many of whom would belong to the risk group. And they reached their limits again because there weren't enough free helpers. The NBH would be very happy to welcome new participants, especially for household and gardening purposes. The volunteer hours were manageable - an estimated 100.

Due to the lockdown, there would have been hardly any personal meetings, but there would have been many video conferences.

Paulik compared it with a leased line and she explained that her ears had partly "glowed".

In addition, she wrote a detailed letter to the tax office because the non-profit status of the NBH had been checked.

The social activities of the NBH were also manageable: no Christmas party, no Advent market, no handicrafts room, no carnival, no holiday program, just a photo session in the community.

Paulik had saved two downers for last: Secretary Petra Gerland-Levin has moved away professionally and after 20 years on the board, eight of them as secretary and twelve as chairwoman, she is no longer standing for re-election. "It's difficult for me, but in my family I no longer have the time and the strength that I and you can be satisfied with my work." She thanked everyone for the good cooperation, especially her previous deputy and successor Rosi Maurer. This was unanimously elected as the new chairwoman, Nadine Eicher as the new deputy. The mother of three lives in the house and has been an active helper at the NBH for four years. Doreen Laubsch remains the treasurer and Edith Greilmeier is the secretary. The head of operations was Elfriede Mittermeier, who succeeds Edith Seifüßl. For the 2ndUte Wolfrich was appointed head of operations. So far, Mittermeier has done her job. Hermine Forsthuber and Maria Galler remain cash auditors.
