Nuremberg - In the city of Nuremberg *, vehicle parts have been stolen several times in the past few days.
As the Police Headquarters Middle Franconia * announced in a press release on Monday (October 18), strangers forcibly removed the catalytic converters from two different cars between Monday (October 11) and Saturday (October 16).
Another attempt failed.
More cases have now been reported.
Nuremberg: Four more catalyst thefts
A car owner noticed on Monday (October 18) around 11 a.m. that the catalytic converter in his vehicle was missing.
He had parked the car the day before at around 6 p.m. on Gibitzenhofstrasse.
An hour earlier, another vehicle owner noticed that his catalytic converter had been stolen.
His car was parked on Nopitschstrasse between Saturday (October 16) and Monday.
Two more thefts occurred in Frankenstrasse, about two kilometers away.
In both cases, the period of the offense extends to several cases: The perpetrators must have been at work between Friday (October 15), 11 p.m., and Monday (October 18), 12 p.m., at work.
In all cases, the forcible removal of the catalytic converters resulted in property damage and theft of several hundred euros each.
Nuremberg: Witnesses wanted!
In the course of the investigation, the police inspections Nuremberg-South and -West ask witnesses who can provide information about the thefts at the telephone numbers (0911) 94 82 0 (PI Nürnberg-Süd) and (0911) 65 83 0 (PI Nürnberg- West) to the respective police inspections.
