The Heilmittelhaus in Bad Wiessee has expanded its range of products and opened a "private lounge".
Bad Wiessee - Here visitors can rent a room together with an escort for three hours in order to take advantage of a bathtub and other treatments during this time. But how much can this personal luxury cost? The municipal council also discussed this at its most recent meeting. “A very special place has been created here,” enthused Ulrike Herein. The project manager, who has been working for the iodine sulfur bath for around a year, enthusiastically presented the lounge to the local council. If you book the new retreat, you get a whole service package included: drinks from the mini-bar, fresh fruit and healthy snacks, bath tubs for two and a 20 percent discount on additional services such as massages. Cost: 180 euros. “We talked a lot about the price,” reported Herein.In order not to exclude anyone and not only make the offer available to a financially strong clientele, the decision was finally made for this “absolutely fair price”, the project manager made clear.
Project manager presents new lounge offer
CSU councilor Christoph von Preysing, who has such experience as organizer of champagne parties with exclusive guests, was not entirely convinced. “Isn't the price too cheap?” He asked. After all, the lounge is also intended as an offer for guests of well-known hotels such as the Lanserhof and must also pay off financially. "Otherwise this is again a negative business," Preysing pointed out. Herein contradicted this: “We calculated it very precisely.” In view of the fact that the people of Wiesse should also regard the iodine bath as their own, she considered the price to be reasonable. The Greens councilor Johannes von Miller (“a good base price”) and his SPD colleague Benedikt Dörder saw it that way (“The bathroom must also remain affordable and usable for the people of Wiesse”). When asked by Preysing,Herein was able to announce whether there are plans to cooperate with the large hotels around the lake so that they can bring their guests to the iodine bath: "We were in all of the large hotels," she reported. A delegation from the Lanserhof in Marienstein has already announced his visit “to find out more about our water”. Discussion about the price
Come in, who, according to her own admission, had not even suspected until recently what “treasure” the municipality of Bad Wiessee had with its iodine-sulfur water, it is a concern to make the strong effects of the healing water better known. “This should be conveyed to our children in school from an early age.” Second Mayor Birgit Trinkl (FWG), herself a landlord, wanted to give Herein a few more - critical - suggestions along the way. She was bothered by the fact that the iodine bath was closed on the weekend - of all times when the hotels were busiest. She encouraged people to think about opening the iodine bath, at least in certain months, on weekends as well. And she also had a suggestion for the private lounge. In order to generate additional sales here, there could be other interesting products,for example, have champagne ready for the guests. However, Ulrike Herein did not think the combination of alcohol and iodine sulfur water was a good idea: "The water has a lot of boom, I wouldn't take that risk."
Florian Sareiter (CSU) rated it as positive that the iodine bath and its range of products are constantly developing.
“Now it is important to get the concept up and running and also to leverage the financial potential,” he demanded.
He asked for the offers to be checked over and over again to see whether they were actually accepted.
Because: "We cannot afford to go in the wrong direction".
