Sunday October 17, a call for witnesses was launched by the police station of Chartres after the unusual discovery of a Chartrain, according to information from

On the evening of Friday, October 15, a man noticed the presence of a laundry basket.
Puzzled, he looks inside and discovers an infant there, bundled up and still alive despite the cool temperature.
The man immediately alerts the police station and the baby is taken care of by the firefighters.

This infant, who would be in good health today, is only 7 days old, male and of European origin.
He was placed in a secret place during the investigations.
The investigators will try to discover the identity of the parents but also what circumstances led him to find himself alone in a laundry basket at this place.
In addition to the potential testimonies, the police officers will be helped by the DNA analysis of the baby as well as by the scientific elements collected on the laundry basket and his clothes.
