Corona in the Ebersberg district: Two more deaths reported

- The Ebersberg health department reports two corona deaths on Tuesday. The deceased district citizens are patients with previous illnesses, two men born in the 1940s and 1950s. The office does not provide any further information, and on request the district authority does not comment on the protection of identity, for example on the vaccination status of the deceased. The number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic in the Ebersberg district has risen to 186.

Meanwhile, 333 people are currently considered to be infected with the corona virus in the Ebersberg district, 180 are in quarantine, the RKI reports a 7-day incidence of 128.4.

Furthermore, the rural communities in the south-east have the relatively highest numbers of infections, but the other district regions are also reporting increasing numbers of cases.

The district office has not reported a corona-free community since Tuesday.

Corona numbers in the Ebersberg district: Most infected people are under 60 years old

The age groups of 15 to 34-year-olds are still most affected with 39.89 percent of those currently tested positive for the virus and 35 to 59-year-olds with 31.76 percent.

There is currently no major outbreak in the district that could be attributed to a specific location or group of people, for example.

“Cases do occur again and again in schools, but no class has yet to be closed.

There are currently a total of 20 positive cases there.

That results in a rate of 11.24 percent of all infections in the district, ”explains the district office.

Data from the district clinic and vaccination

In the Ebersberg district clinic, three patients are currently being treated with Covid 19 disease. Two come from the district. A person has to be cared for in the intensive care unit, but not ventilated. According to the announcement, two of the patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 do not have a corona vaccination. The third person has already gone through the infection. There are four suspected cases in the clinic. 

Regarding the number of vaccinations, the District Office reports: “89,507 people in the Ebersberg district received an initial vaccination.

General practitioners carried out 35,491 of these vaccinations.

88,184 rural district citizens have been vaccinated for the second time.

37,834 second vaccinations were given in general practitioners' practices.

1,922 people who have been vaccinated have already received a third vaccination, 1,009 of them via their general practitioner or specialist.

The district of Ebersberg now has a vaccination rate of 62.12 percent.

61.20 percent of the district residents are fully vaccinated with first and second vaccinations.

1.33 percent have a third vaccination. "
