In an accident in the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis, a car went off the road and rolled over in an adjacent field.
The 28-year-old driver was slightly injured.
He was traveling on the K2 from the direction of Gerolsheim in the direction of Lambsheim on Monday evening when he came off the road in a left turn, presumably because of too high a speed, as the police announced on Tuesday.
Lambsheim - The driver was able to free himself from his car.
A breath alcohol test showed a value of 1.56 per thousand.
A blood sample was then taken from the 28-year-old, his driver's license secured and criminal proceedings initiated against him.
The car suffered a total loss of an estimated 30,000 euros.
