A man died during forest work in a forest near Meßkirch (Sigmaringen district). According to initial police investigations, he was trapped under a tree trunk on Tuesday that was deposited by the gripper arm of a harvester. The 65-year-old worker died of serious injuries at the scene of the accident. The police have started an investigation into negligent homicide.
