Hoch thinks Spahn's corona push is "unrealistic"

The move by Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) to end the Corona emergency in Germany was met with skepticism in the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Health.

"It will not be realistic that we will lift all measures from November 25th, Jens Spahn knows that too," said Health Minister Clemens Hoch (SPD) on Tuesday at the request of the German Press Agency.

Hoch emphasized that he would like the federal government to have an “orderly, uniform transitional regulation”.

The state government continues to aim to protect hospitals and intensive care units from impending overload.

The currently applicable Corona Control Ordinance in Rhineland-Palatinate is still valid until the beginning of November.

"Under the conditions then applicable, we will examine what measures are then still necessary to keep the pandemic events under control," said Hoch.
