Pasta is one of the most comforting dishes there is, and also the fact that it is easy to prepare certainly did not hurt in making it so popular.
So here is a quick and easy recipe that is prepared in one pot, without the need for pre-cooking the pasta.
And the result - ceramic pasta rich in flavors.
Raw ingredients (for 6 servings):
500 g (package) long pasta
3 tablespoons tomato sauce
250 ml (container) 38% sweet cream
5 cloves chopped garlic
Teaspoon dried basil
2 large and ripe tomatoes, cut and sliced
Large purple onion halved and sliced
3 teaspoons salt
A little black pepper, ground chili and thyme
One and a half liters (6 cups) of boiling water
2 tablespoons Grana Padano cheese or grated Parmesan cheese, to serve.
Preparation:
Place all the ingredients (except the tomato sauce and cream) in a 5 liter pot.
Cook over high heat and bring to a boil.
Lower the heat to medium-low and cook for another 10 minutes.
Add the tomato and cream sauce, stir and continue to cook for another five minutes, until the pasta is ready.
Sprinkle with Grana Padano (or Parmesan) generously - and serve.
