British scientists warned of the increasing rates of infection with the Corona virus in the country, while a number of them called for the re-imposition of strict health measures to limit the spread of the disease.
AP quoted epidemiologist Neil Ferguson, a member of the British government's Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies, as saying that "most Western European countries have maintained more control measures, vaccine mandates and wearing masks," noting that the increasing number of infections in Britain requires such measures.
Critics of the British government's measures to confront Corona say that the number of injuries and deaths, which averages more than a hundred deaths per day, is still very high compared to other European countries.
Yesterday, Britain recorded 45 deaths and 49,165 new infections with the Corona virus, bringing the total infections to eight million and 497 thousand and 868, while the total death toll reached 138,629 cases.
