London Concern: Incitement Against Israel at Bus Stations Israel today

Redesign of the cover of the book "Normal People" has become "Normal People Boycott Israel" √ The factor behind the campaign: Protest group against the "occupation" • London police opened an investigation

Authorities in London have launched an investigation, after anti-Israel activists hung out at bus stops in the British capital, without a permit, calling for a boycott of Israel.

The ads provoked angry reactions on social media and in the Jewish community.

The ads that were hung were in fact a redesign of the cover of the book "Normal People", by the author Sally Roni, when instead of the author's name at the bottom of the picture it says "Boycott Israel", and it looks like the cover was redesigned with the words "Normal People Boycott Israel".

The author, herself, recently said that she would not allow an Israeli publishing house to translate her new book into Hebrew ("A Beautiful World, Where Are You"), because "Israel is an apartheid state based on racial control."

Also, the original cover of the book features an illustration of a loving couple inside a can, but in ads circulated throughout London the illustration was replaced with something that looked like a net.

The Protest Stencil protest group, which often posts protest photos of this style on Instagram and is apparently responsible for this campaign, described its design as follows: Theirs, while under attack by the occupation battleships. "

"Treat the incident severely"

The London Transport Authority, which called these ads "vandalism", ordered its employees to remove them and on its behalf it was even reported that the ads had already been handled in all the places where they were located, and that it was treating the incident "very seriously".

The British Deputy Attorney General, David Wolfson, also tweeted: "Please clarify: Did you approve this campaign for them?".

Initially, the company in charge of the advertising space at the stations claimed that the photos that appeared on social media were fake, but then said that it would act against them.

In addition, the London Police announced that they were also acting on the criminal level and even sent people to remove the ads.

"We were informed of this ad a short time ago and we are investigating the case," police tweeted on Saturday, in response to a complaint from a London resident who photographed the ad in the south of the city.
