The search took several weeks: more than five months after their birth, the two young tiger animals were given a name at Duisburg Zoo.
While the cat is now called "Kasimir", the zoo jury decided on "Malinka" for the cat, the zoo reported on Tuesday.
Guests at the zoo made hundreds of suggestions by email, letter and social media.
Duisburg - Out of these, animal keepers and the zoo management selected six names as a jury and put them up for election.
Over 3,500 people took part in the vote online.

When registering for the dog tax in Neuenrade in the Sauerland, dog owners can no longer indicate the gender of their four-legged friend with "diverse".

The small predators are developing splendidly.

Siberian tigers are the largest living cats in the world and, according to zoo reports, their populations are endangered.
