An overview of where a tour is still worthwhile.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

- The first snow has fallen on most of the mountains, the hut season is drawing to a close.

If you want to eat there and recharge your batteries, you should hurry up - or look for huts that are accessible all year round.

Lenggrieser Hut

A classic winter hike is the walk to the Lenggrieser Hütte below the Seekar: “There's always something going on here, even in winter,” says landlord Florian Durach.

The winter path to the hut is groomed with a snowcat, an overnight stay is possible.

The hut is only closed from December 6th to 27th.

Falkenhütte

The Falkenhütte is expected to take a winter break until June 2022.

Online bookings will be possible again from May 2022.

Blomberghaus

For the Blombergbahn, the winter timetable with reduced operating times applies from November 8, 2021 to April 8, 2022. During this time, the chairlift no longer runs daily, but only on Saturdays and Sundays and on public holidays. Daily operations only exist during the holidays. The opening times of the Blomberghaus are based on the winter timetable. If one or two groups of 15 to 20 people register, the Blomberghaus will also be open on working days.

In addition, the Blomberghaus is also open on Fridays in the winter months - and for good reason: "We have had difficulties finding staff since Corona," says landlord Martin Ginhart. "It is good for the employees if the business continues." This makes it easier to keep the workforce, and thus the summer season is easier to cope with: "Suddenly we have an increase in sales of 500 to 1000 percent."

According to Ginhart, the extreme fluctuations could at least partially be avoided if the upper part of the winter toboggan run was certified and reopened.

The landlord would like the city of Bad Tölz to cover part of the certification costs.

In his opinion, the reopening of the complete toboggan run would bring many advantages: "The city would be more attractive in winter, jobs would be created, the whole region would benefit."

In terms of sales, the Blomberghaus is still a long way from the pre-Corona times, says Ginhart: “Our decline compared to 2019 is 30 to 35 percent.” At the same time, Ginhart also says: “When I see how others have fared , we can still be satisfied. "

Herzogstandhaus

The Herzogstandhaus is busy at the moment.

The Herzogstandbahn runs daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until October 23.

From October 24th to probably November 14th, it will only be in operation from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The opening times of the Herzogstandhaus are identical to the operating times of the railway.

“On November 15, the railway will be overhauled, and we will also close,” says Johannes Klughammer, “girl for everything” in the Herzogstandhaus.

If the mountain was "completely snowed in", the company holidays would start before November 14th.

It will be unlocked again on December 26th.

Then it is open every day for the time being, then only on Fridays until 3:30 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays until 4 p.m.

Tölzer Hut

The Tölzer Hütte on the Schafreuter has been closed since October 11th.

Binsalm

The leaves on the Großer Ahornboden in the Eng are currently wonderfully colored.

Correspondingly many visitors are out and about there.

There is a lot of activity on the Binsalm.

Anyone planning a visit to the Binsalm should have sturdy shoes and warm clothing: "We have five centimeters of snow, but hiking is possible," says landlady Michaela Larcher.

She wants to close the Alm at the end of October.

Tutzinger Hut

You can also feel that winter is approaching around the Tutzinger Hütte.

The sun no longer makes it over the Benediktenwand, so the hut is in the shade all day.

Nevertheless, Sabine Jauernig is happy to have many guests, especially on the weekends.

There is some snow around the hut, on the Benediktenwand it should be around 15 centimeters: “You can still go up without any problems.” The hut is open until October 31st, the last time you can stay overnight is on October 29th.

Lamsenjochhütte

The depths of winter prevail around the Lamsenjochhütte above the Eng.

The hut is closed and will reopen on June 10, 2022.

Denkalm

The Denkalm is easily accessible all year round, provided you have good shoes.

The direct way there will be cleared all winter.

Company holiday is from December 13th to 25th.

"Whether we unlock again afterwards depends on Corona," says the Bauer family.

Kirchsteinhütte

Although the path to the Kirchsteinhütte is not an official toboggan run, it is traditionally very popular with tobogganers.

"If we get through, it will be cleared," says landlady Anna Bauer.

Three years ago the amount of snow was three months too big to clear away.

But what doesn’t change the hut’s popularity: “People like the deep snow.” Wednesdays and Thursdays are rest days.

Depending on the weather, they will lock up for one to two weeks in November, Bauer announced.

Brauneck

The revision of the Brauneck mountain railway begins on November 8th and ends on December 3rd.

A number of huts organize their company holidays accordingly.

The Panorama-Restaurant, the Brauneck-Haus, the Quenger Alm, the Strasser Alm, the Flori Hütte and the Reiser Alm will be closed during the revision according to the tourist information.

At the Stie-Alm, the company holiday starts on November 7th, and at the Kot-Alm on November 1st.

Only the Bayern hut is open all year round.

The Finstermünz-Alm and the Milchhäusl, the Kot-Alm and the Strasser Alm are opened when the ski area starts.

The Tölzer Hütte is opened spontaneously, depending on the weather.

During the overhaul, the Flori Hut “maybe sometimes” welcomes guests at the weekend, and the opening times of the Quenger Alm also depend on the weather.

Tegernseer Hut

The Tegernseer Hütte on Roßstein and Buchstein is open until November 6th.

Then it goes into hibernation.
