Health Ministry officials said today (Tuesday) to Walla!

Because they do not agree with the expansion of the green class outline, because there is not enough data to determine whether it is safe.

Last night, the outline increased to 90% of the localities in the country, after it was also expanded to yellow cities, starting on Sunday.

The reason for the lack of data happened is that not enough time has passed since the beginning of the outline in the green cities, which began only a week ago.

As time passed, not enough information was gathered to determine if the outline could be expanded.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Health explained that in the current state of morbidity, the outline decided upon is "reasonable" and will not cause an increase in the infection coefficient above 1, although there is a high chance that it will lead to multiple infections.

At the Eshkol school in Rosh HaAyin, 65 verified persons were discovered in the last two weeks. The district doctor recommended closing the school. The Ministry of Education objected.

Studies continue as usual

From the discussion yesterday it appears that only half of the classes required for the pilot were recruited, and in the recruited classes a partial execution of the outline components was done. According to the Ministry of Health, only 50% of the students in isolation performed the second antigen test on the seventh day, and less than 25% reported in a computerized manner. Also, no manual reports were collected, and the information required for the purpose of performing a control did not exist in the Ministry of Education.

The data also show that of the 400 children verified in the pilot, only 30% performed a PCR test after being positive in the rapid antigen tests. 80% of the subjects came out positive in the tests. Also, 75% of the subjects who came out negative on the antigen test were found to be positive on the PCR test.

Walla! It was learned that 65 verified people were discovered at the Eshkol school in Rosh HaAyin in the past two weeks. The district doctor recommended closing the school, but studies continue as usual after the Ministry of Education objected to its closure.

Despite the pleas of Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz and Education Minister Yifat Shasha Bitton, due to the paucity of data, the Ministry of Health opposed expanding the outline in red and orange localities because there may be excess morbidity in at least 50% of them.

Education ministry officials told Walla!

Because the Ministry of Health claimed that there was not enough data, but did not claim that the outline was dangerous.

However, officials in the Ministry of Health claimed that they are only an "advisory body" and they can not stop the decision makers.

In the end, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett did not agree to expand the outline to red and orange localities and the proposal fell through.

Only 8% of the localities are not part of the outline

There are currently 72,315 isolated students in the education system, of whom 9,959 are verified.

Data from the Ministry of Health show that only 8% of the localities in the country are red or orange, and the outline will not apply to them: tens of thousands;

Ein Mahel;

Geva Binyamin;

Umm Batin;

Abu Korinat;

Selma;

Abu Rubiya;

Efrat;

Abu Talul;

Segev Shalom;

Neve Daniel;

Kiryat Yearim;

Mevo Horon;

Ibelin;

Kaabiyah-Tabash-Hajjajra;

Abu Rocky;

Yehud;

Hatzor HaGlilit;

Masoudin al-Azzazma;

Kfar Adumim;

Ksifa and Katzrin.

According to the outline of the green class that has applied so far, in a class where a verified patient will be discovered, the students of the class will be tested by a PCR that will be performed at the Home Front Command positions or at the health funds.

Students will remain in solitary confinement until a negative answer is received, and once this is received, they will return to the classroom routine, with a mandatory speed test using antigen kits for seven days.

On the seventh day they will perform another PCR test again.

After receiving a negative answer - the class will return to routine.
