Many mistakes were made in the Union before the election and, unfortunately, what was to be feared has happened. The opposition in which the Union will be in the next few years is the chance that the CDU / CSU will become the ruling party again. The generation change that we are now talking about should have taken place in 2019. Then the Union would have been spared the election result of September 26, 2021. How to prepare a people's party for a successful election result was shown by some personalities of the younger generation: For example: JF Kennedy, Barak Obama, Emanuel Macron, Sebastian Kurz, as young and new brooms, who are known to sweep well. Our Jewish fellow citizens in our country and in Israel have a very positive image of her and honored her there and here (in our country) accordingly.

Finally, apparently the last member of the Union has also accepted that the only way for the CDU / CSU is to take the tough opposition bench. Armin Laschet took on the electoral slip. Honorable or stupid is an open question. Markus Söder, the biggest alpha figure in politics, would never have thought of admitting his considerable complicity in the election disaster. Now there is a full-bodied riot of renewal and no stone should be left unturned. The CSU should seriously deal with the question of whether it is still sustainable as a sister party. If the CSU were to change its name to the CDU, it would play a more important role as probably the strongest national association.
The eternal cross shots from Bavaria against the CDU would then no longer be possible; the unity as a unity party much more credible and powerful. For a nationally recognized chairman of a CDU regional association in Bavaria, it would be more promising to run for Federal Chancellor. Hopeless as CSU chairman (see Strauss, Stoiber, Söder). In management positions, more attention must then be paid to competence in order to make the right decision about sustainable and complex concepts. What use is the increase in the women's quota if it results in colorless or failed ministers like Huml or Gerlach because of the regional proportion. Furthermore, a CDU in Bavaria would also have the advantage that overburdened federal ministers like Scheuer or Dobrindt do not have to be kept in office just to damage the CSU if the CSU is dismissed prematurely.Renewal also has to do with rejuvenation.
Therefore, an age limit for state and federal elections would be helpful.
People who were forever yesterday, like Schäuble or Ramsauer, should no longer be able to stand for candidacy.
