The Lüneburg Higher Administrative Court wants to decide today (10.30am / 1pm) in three standard control procedures on the nature reserve ordinance “Dead Moor” on the Steinhuder Meer issued by the Hanover region.
At its core, it is about conflicts between water sports and nature conservation.
The ordinance relates to an area of 3,179 hectares, which includes areas on the Steinhuder Meer as well as water areas in the east-northeast area.
Lüneburg - On the one hand, organizers of balloon rides want to clarify in court whether a nature reserve ordinance may regulate requirements for air traffic.
In the second procedure, the operator of a yacht club is concerned with the ban on sailing on the water surface.
In the third application, an owner of land in the nature reserve is concerned with the general ban on forestry and restrictions that apply to peat extraction.
