The increased interest in gardens and plants during the corona pandemic has brought another record number of visitors to the Park of Gardens in Ammerland.
As the Park Society announced on Tuesday after the end of the season in Bad Zwischenahn, the park attracted more visitors this year than ever before.
Bad Zwischenahn - Around 173,000 guests visited the park.
That is around 12,000 or eight percent more than in the previous year, 2020, when the last visitor record was set.
As a general park facility, the park was allowed to open to guests without major restrictions in 2021, according to the information.
As the operators announced, many events were able to take place despite the corona pandemic - the park also benefited from a generally growing interest in gardens.
"We are very fortunate to have a trend topic as our core competence with the subject of" Gardens and Plants ", which is enjoying increasing value in society", says the managing director of the Park Society, Christian Wandscher.
