Mohsen Rezaei, the Iranian president's assistant in economic affairs, reiterated his country's support for Venezuela and its legitimate institutions in the face of US interference, stressing the importance of strengthening economic cooperation between Tehran and Caracas.
During his meeting with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Felix Placencia Gonzalez in Tehran, Rezaei said: "Iran will remain by Venezuela in the era of reconstruction and construction, as it stood with it in the era of resistance," noting that Tehran and Caracas have proven that the will of the people outweighs the will of the major powers.
Rezaei added that the way to save our countries is the cooperation of friendly countries with each other, and certainly by continuing in this way, we can overcome problems and obstacles, stressing that the cooperation of the two countries would serve as a model for friendly countries to follow.
For his part, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister stressed the importance of following up the implementation of the agreements signed between the two friendly countries, pointing to the pledge of the Iranian and Venezuelan governments to support each other in international forums.
