Weilheim - When you hear Sean O'Casey, one likes to think of his best-known work “Juno and the Peacock”, which was filmed not only by Grand Master Alfred Hitchcock, but also by Karl Fruchtmann with Walter Richter and Klaus Maria Brandauer. But O'Casey could not only be serious, the Irish playwright was also cheerful, which the latest production by Yvonne Brosch in Weilheim's city theater brilliantly shows: "The end of the beginning" is a true master comedy that premiered in the county town last weekend.

The story is - actually - quickly told: Darry and Lizzie, who run a small Irish farm, are once again quarreling about who is doing the harder work on the farm. Darry considers the household to be a "finger exercise", Lizzie sees his farm work as the easier task and so it comes as it has to come: You switch roles! While Lizzie gets to work right away, Darry takes it easy, does a little gymnastics and then gradually begins - together with his extremely short-sighted friend Barry - the "little household". A network of small domestic disasters emerges, which finally ends in the total escalation of the incompetent clumsy due to a power failure ...

With Uwe Kosubek and Ruben Hagspiel in the roles of Darry and Barry, Yvonne Brosch achieved a brilliant cast.

The two - inseparable and yet a completely different pair of friends - fulfill their respective roles excellently, one as a lazy, the other as a Samaritan who repeatedly fails due to his visual impairment.

Finally Nathalie Seitz in the role of Lizzie, who confidently works through her role reversal and finally ends up in the middle of chaos.

The comedy “The End of the Beginning” can still be seen on Friday, October 22nd, as well as on Friday, 17th, Saturday, 18th, Sunday, 19th and 26th December at 8 pm and on Sundays at 6 pm.

The 3 G rule applies in the Weilheim municipal theater.

The theater-goers keep a distance of at least 1.5 meters and can therefore take off their mask when they are seated.
