Even before Harry and Meghan moved to the USA, Prince William is said to have had a crisis.
The reason was apparently the baptism of son Archie.
London - It should now be clear that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan go their own way and do not want to be dictated by the English royal family.
The move to the US, the interview with Oprah Winfrey, podcast talks and an upcoming book make this point quite clear - and also led to a crisis with one's own family.
The relationship with his own brother, Prince William, and his wife Catherine suffered as well.
Harry and Meghan: Already at Archie's baptism, they broke with tradition
The two brothers did not comment publicly, and one can only speculate about the exact causes.
The royal biographer Andrew Morton, author of the books "Diana, Her True Story" and "Meghan: A Hollywood Princess", now provides a possible approach in his Meghan book.
His theory starts long before the move and the official departure of the Sussex from the royal family.
This is about the christening of Harry and Meghan's first son, Archie.
He was born on May 6, 2019 and was baptized on July 6, 2019.
Traditionally, godparents are selected for the royal child to accompany them through life.
Usually these are close friends or family members of the parents who are also made public.
For boys this would normally be two godparents and one godmother.
Harry and Meghan already took an unusual path here: They initially kept the selected people who were supposed to be there for their now two-year-old Archie secret.

A decision that is said to have amazed Prince William very much. In the royal tradition, these people are still very important. According to author Andrew Morton, the decision was "another point" about which William was "perplexed". “Like others in the family, he believed that those who were chosen to lead and advise a future royal prince in the seventh line of succession should be named,” Morton writes in his book, from which the English

quoted.
Harry and Meghan saw it differently, however, for them it was a private matter.
“The godparents were real friends, not celebrities or public figures, and had joined the royal couple because they preferred privacy,” Morton said.
Harry and Meghan gave in to the godparents
After the topic was discussed more and more in the meantime, Harry and Meghan finally announced the godparents and godmother.
These were Prince Harry's nanny, Tiggy Pettifer, his longtime buddy Charlie van Straubenzee, and Prince Charles' former assistant, Mark Dyer.
The relationship between William and Harry is said to have cracked first.
Two years later, the next baptism is imminent: Meghan Markle had daughter Lilibet in June.
There are no pictures of her yet.
It is not yet clear whether there will be a baptism in Windsor or her new home in Santa Barbara.
However, the British tabloids have already voiced theories about the baptism plans.
