One day after the contract extension with head coach Maik Machulla until 2026, handball Bundesliga club SG Flensburg-Handewitt signed a new player.
As the club announced on Tuesday, the Icelander Teitur Einarsson is moving from the Swedish first division club IFK Kristianstad to SG with immediate effect.
Flensburg - The 23-year-old left-hander in the back will receive a contract until the end of the current season and is already entitled to play in the away game in the Champions League on Thursday (6.45 p.m. / DAZN and ServusTV) with the Hungarian representative Telekom Veszprem.
After the injuries of Magnus Röd and Franz Semper, Einarsson should provide relief.
"With Teitur a real Viking comes to us," said SG coach Machulla.
"In the first step he will be able to help us with his throwing qualities and, above all, his explosiveness, especially in the attack." Dpa
