Shipbuilding in Germany continues to head towards difficult times.
According to a works council survey presented on Tuesday on behalf of IG Metall Coast, every third shipyard is expected to have further job cuts in the next twelve months.
In the past year, around 1,500 permanent jobs were lost.
Hamburg - That corresponds to a decrease of 8.1 percent.
Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania was particularly hard hit, where almost a quarter (23.2 percent) of all core jobs in the shipyards had been cut.
