After two years of involuntary abstinence, the Liedertafel appears again in Dachau.

Songs of the Romantic period for choir, soloists and piano accompaniment by Johannes Brahms (Liebeslieder op.52 and Neue Liebeslieder op.65), Clara Schumann (Drei Lieder op.21) and Joseph Gabriel Rheinberger (Lockung op.25 and Die Wasserfee op . 21).

The soprano Laura Faig and the tenor Jonas Häusler were won as soloists. Robert Schröter and Tobias Stork take over the piano accompaniment. The overall musical direction is in the hands of Emanuel Schmidt, who has headed the Liedertafel choir since April 2020 and took up his position just when choir rehearsals were no longer possible.

The program for this concert came about with great difficulty. The choir was only able to rehearse in presence for a few weeks in 2020 and 2021. For many months, rehearsals were only possible via the Internet in their own home and without feedback from the conductor. For a long time it was not possible to foresee a certain date for the performance. So a program is now being offered in October that would be better suited to the spring time. But waiting another six months was not an option. Because the Liedertafel wanted to please their audience as soon as possible with the most beautiful romantic songs and in this way brighten up the perhaps dreary autumn.

Admission tickets can be ordered on the Internet at www.lernafel-dachau.de or by post.

Concert information sheets with a ticket order form are available from the Subtext bookstore, Sparkassenplatz 4, Dachau.

Remaining tickets are available at the box office.

The 3G rule applies to attending the concert.

A face mask (FFP2 or surgical mask) must be worn during the stay in the castle, including during the performance.
