Researchers from the Universidade Politecnica de Valencia have succeeded in designing and patenting a new type of transparent concrete.
According to the Sky News website, the new concrete called (Hettrans) has three-dimensional designs that are combined to create facades, sidewalks and other construction works at a cost that is 80 percent lower than other traditional concrete.
Transparent concrete is a building material that has the characteristics of light transmission because it contains optical elements embedded in it, which allows light to pass from one end to the other, and this process results in a certain light on the surface.
