The authorities of the Turkish regime issued arrest warrants for 158 people, including military personnel, on the pretext of their association with the 2016 coup attempt against Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Reuters quoted the authorities as saying, "Arrest warrants were issued against 110 military students who were expelled following the coup attempt, in addition to 48 former or active-duty soldiers. Search and raid operations were carried out in 41 governorates, which resulted in the arrest of 97 of them."

It is noteworthy that the Erdogan regime has launched severe repression campaigns since the attempted coup in July 2016 with the aim of pursuing its opponents and opponents inside the country, where it arrested and dismissed tens of thousands of people, both civilians and military.
