A representative of the Television Broadcasting Company Limited (TVB) went to the Wan Chai Police Headquarters to report the case to the Police Headquarters in Wan Chai at about 10:30 a.m. today (19th) in conjunction with Legislative Council Member Xie Weijun's department.

According to Guan Yuqun, a senior intellectual property law enforcement consultant for TVB, it has recently been discovered that netizens have incited others to boycott TVB on the Internet, and indiscriminately bullied customers and artists of the station, including nuisance, threats and intimidation, causing mental harm and economic damage. The loss has also caused damage to the business environment in Hong Kong, which constitutes Hong Kong’s instability. In order to protect customers and artists from attacking, we reported to the police today, hoping that law enforcement agencies will take corresponding actions to maintain the business environment in Hong Kong so that Hong Kong can achieve steady state.

It is understood that Hu Hongjun recently launched a concert in September. The organizer put an advertisement on TVB, and some netizens called for boycotting the concert and leaving threatening remarks.

Guan Yuqun said: "Basically, these behaviors happen every day. If you make a lot of orders, basically I think the coefficient is in the thousands or tens of thousands." He estimated that hundreds of customers and artists were affected.
