In a new survey, the Union is still clearly behind the SPD.
When it comes to political competence, the CDU and CSU only come in fourth.
Berlin - Three weeks after the federal election, the polls paint a similar picture as on election day itself. The SPD is ahead of the Union, the duel of other traffic light probes is won by the Greens in front of the FDP.
The AfD follows behind.
The left would cross the five percent hurdle.
Poll after the federal election: SPD clearly ahead of Union, Greens just ahead of FDP
In the current RTL / ntv trend barometer from Forsa, the distance between SPD and CDU / CSU remains unchanged.
The Social Democrats are clearly the strongest force with 26 percent and in principle achieve the result in the Bundestag election.
The Union, which had lost in the polls after the general election, has an unchanged 20 percent.
Other polling institutes had recently seen the Union below 20 percent.
The Greens and FDP are closer together than they were on September 26th.
The Greens reach 16 percent, the Liberals gain one percentage point compared to the last trend barometer from a week ago and come to 15 percent.
The AfD remains unchanged at 9 percent, as does the left at 5 percent.
The other parties reach 9 percent.
Poll after the federal election: Scholz wins K-Duel - Union loses in competence against FDP
If those eligible to vote in Germany could choose their chancellor directly, only 8 percent would still vote for Union candidate Armin Laschet.
53 percent, and thus one percentage point more than in the previous week, favor SPD man Olaf Scholz.
Interesting: 39 percent would vote neither Laschet nor Scholz.
When assessing political competence, the SPD can further increase its lead over the Union: 22 percent (+2) currently believe the SPD can best cope with the problems in Germany, whereas the Union only 7 percent.
That is a minus of two percent, with which the CDU / CSU slips behind the FDP (9) in this category.
The Greens come to 10 percent approval.
Spicy: Almost half of the respondents (48 percent) still do not trust any party to solve the problems in Germany.
