Wörthsee - Since its premiere in summer, the dance and music film COLOR YOUR MIND by composer and director Axel Werner has garnered a large number of honors and prizes.

Romantic piano music, modern expressive dance and film art merge under the direction of Axel Werner and the production management of Peter Mang into a short film that tells of liberating fantasies.

The title COLOR YOUR MIND says it all: the film shows courage and creative development and pays homage to freedom.

33 prizes and honors from 14 countries

After the successful premiere at this year's Fünfseen Film Festival with 500 guests, the film traveled around the world to other festivals.

“We are really happy about the great feedback from the film juries.

It shows that our artistic format is recognized by experts.

And that in such a short time, that's amazing, ”says Axel Werner.

This is especially important for the international crew who worked on the film.

Festivals in North America, South America, Asia and Europe have recognized the film with awards for “Best Music Video”, “Best Choreography”, “Best Cinematography”, “Best Short Film”, “Best Performing Arts” and “Best Director”.

Imagination when traveling gives freedom as a souvenir

The setting takes place in 1871. “We were fascinated by the tension of the late 19th century with its blatant contradictions that we also experience today in other ways,” explains Werner, who translated his music into a danced film story social grievances. Accompanied by diseases, child labor and environmental pollution, industrialization created a dark epoch with pandemics, wars and famines. At the same time, wonderful art welled up. Brahms, Mahler and Tchaikovsky shaped the musical late romanticism. Creative spirits escaped from all kinds of art into the world of fantasy. Writers, mystics and painters drifted away into metaphysics. And they came back with works that inspire people to this day. King Ludwig II.built his fairytale castle Neuschwanstein during this time. Van Gogh shaped his ecstatic impressionism. Richard Wagner completed the Ring of the Nibelung. Her works of art were the result of an inner liberation. In the midst of all adversity, creative minds inspired the troubled people. They brought back courage and hope. "When the imagination is unleashed, it always has freedom in its luggage - that is the historical lesson and our dramaturgical concept," reveals director Werner.she always has freedom with her - that is the historical lesson and our dramaturgical concept, ”reveals director Werner.she always has freedom with her - that is the historical lesson and our dramaturgical concept, ”reveals director Werner.

The next film is already in preparation

There are already exciting concepts for the next art film.

Werner explains that the company is currently in fundraising and looking for supporters and sponsors.

"In all likelihood it will take place again here in the Fünfseenland."

As with the last two films, the lyrical piano music provides the basic concept for the creative implementation in dance and film.

Innovative brands and art sponsors can take advantage of this.

Axel Werner already achieved international success with the first film "Come Closer" from the "Blue Hour Collection".

This film, produced in the region south of Munich, also won almost 30 awards from festivals around the world.
