It took nearly 15 minutes. Fortunately, the boy was rescued and sent to the hospital for examination with a back injury.
Police today arrested the boy's 36-year-old mother, surnamed Huang, for ignoring the arrest of the child or young person in his custody.
The case was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Team of Kwun Tong Police District for follow-up.
The arrested woman has been released on bail pending further investigation and will report to the police in late November.
