The ADAC Hessen-Thüringen has warned of traffic jams next weekend.
Because of the start of the holidays in Thuringia and the end of the holidays in Berlin, Brandenburg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate, more traffic is to be expected on the roads, the motorists' association announced on Wednesday.
Traffic jams were threatened, especially on the motorways around the Erfurt and Hermsdorf crosses.
Erfurt - The peak times of the traffic volume are Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon, according to the ADAC.
Those who want to avoid waiting times in traffic jams should switch to vacation start and day trips on travel days during the week, for example on Tuesday or Wednesday.
If you have to travel at the weekend because of an existing booking, you should either leave very late or in the early hours of the morning to avoid traffic jams.
