Kochel - Two accidents with motorcyclists occurred on Wednesday (October 20) on the B11 in the Walchensee / Kochel area.
There were two injured.
"An unsuccessful overtaking maneuver," said Frank Bentz from the Kochel police station, led to a collision between a motorcycle and a car on the B11 near Urfeld on Wednesday at around 11.40 a.m.
On the main road towards Walchensee, shortly before the Kirchelwandtunnel, a 53-year-old Audi driver from Starnberg wanted to overtake two cyclists in front of him.
According to the police, he overlooked the fact that there was already a Harley Davidson to his left.
The 42-year-old motorcyclist from Flein / Baden-Württemberg wanted to overtake at the same time.
Audi and Harley brushed against each other.
The cyclist was slightly injured in his right foot, but was able to stop his bike safely.
The total damage to both vehicles is estimated at around 4500 euros.
Too fast in the curve
At around 3:10 p.m., another accident with a motorcyclist occurred on the Kesselberg.
A 19-year-old man from Markt Indersdorf was involved with his KTM.
According to the police, the biker was too fast uphill in a right-hand bend to be able to react in time to an oil trail there.
The KTM rider fell and skidded into the opposite lane.
Fortunately, there was no oncoming traffic at that moment, so the fall went off lightly.
A Sanka brought the slightly injured person to the accident clinic in Murnau.
The accident caused property damage to his machine at an estimated amount of around 1500 euros.
Police checked extra bikers
The probably last beautiful day in October from a weather point of view attracted many motorcyclists to the Kesselberg on Wednesday (October 20th).
Traffic violations were not absent, according to the Kochel police.
These would still be punished.
Colleagues from the Weilheim traffic police inspection and the motorcycle control group were on site: The officers discovered, among other things, technical manipulations on the machines and worn tires, overtaking violations and misuse of license plates.
