It is a reality that many French people observe: the demographic upheaval at work in certain neighborhoods, even certain cities, where the population of foreign origin becomes the majority while those called “the Gauls” and part of the immigrants integrated, exile always further, very often in the depths of France of the roundabouts.
Insee statistics mapped by France Strategy thus tell us that immigrant children or children born to non-European immigrant parents were in the majority in more than half of the municipalities of Seine-Saint-Denis in 2017, and that they almost represented the half of the young people in certain districts of Paris, but also in medium-sized provincial towns such as Rennes or Limoges.
