Toilets, an island and new paths: The Baisch-Weiher is to be spruced up and modernized in the long term.
Now there is an overall plan that can serve as a guideline.
Langenpreising
- “It's not like the excavators are coming tomorrow,” said Mayor Josef Straßer in an interview with our newspaper after the meeting.
The plan was developed with support from the “Leader” program, which is co-financed by the EU, and is divided into three modules.
The first of these modules is the meadow including the entire area of the water watch station, which according to this plan is to be provided with a significantly improved entry point for the boat.
The play area moves very close to this station.
The planning thus also takes into account the residential development planned on the Raiffeisen site.
As reported several times, the planners, Raiffeisenbank and municipality are already working together to defuse this possible conflict situation.
There is a path from the “Thenner-See-Straße” development area directly to the swimming lake.
This is currently still a kind of beaten track, but is to be massively upgraded in the future.
"The way has become more and more important," said the mayor.
This first module also contains that small area that is considered ecologically valuable and should therefore be separated from the lawn.
The plan is just that, through a bush planting.
The path from the new development area is led around this area at a certain distance.
New to the designs is an island in the lake in front of the playground area.
According to the plan, this should be accessible via a suspension bridge.
The second module contains the kiosk building, which is now finally to be equipped with sanitary facilities.
The annoyance that a catering establishment is operated intensively here without any toilets would stop.
Another playground near the watchtower's guard station is also part of the second module.
Finally, module three is an appropriately sized parking lot on the adjacent property in the direction of Staustorf.
However, this parking area requires the availability of the property, which, according to the mayor, is not yet certain.
With regard to a schedule, Straßer expressly did not want to commit himself.
With this plan approved by the local council, the whole project, which was already important in the initial phase of the community development program, gets new momentum.
At that time, a whole working group gave up a little frustrated because nothing had progressed in the matter.
Now the members at that time can experience how much of their preparatory work flowed into these new considerations and brought into a planning form.
