"The Government repudiates these vandalism and violent acts that have been carried out by ex-military groups. We hold the 15 people who lead these groups responsible for the damage they have caused in the Congress of the Republic and in the Historic Center," said Pablo Castillo , of the Ministry of the Interior of Guatemala, after the irruption of retired soldiers in the legislative headquarters.
Castillo also regretted the machete attacks that injured more than 10 agents of the National Civil Police, who would have been unarmed according to the protocols.
