With a daring overtaking maneuver, a 24-year-old driver stopped a drunken ghost driver in the Rhein-Neckar district.
According to the police, the man slowed down the 56-year-old driver and held her until the alerted patrol officers arrived.
Previously, the man was in the Schriesheim Branich tunnel in the direction of Wilhelmsfeld when the driver came towards him.
Schriesheim - "He had to perform an emergency braking to prevent a frontal collision," said the police.
The driver turned his car around and followed the woman who drove in "considerable serpentine lines".
After he had stopped them after the tunnel exit, both had come to a standstill in an emergency stop bay.
According to the police, the result of a blood test is still pending.
However, the woman had to hand over the driver's license and vehicle keys on Tuesday evening.
