Construction and cladding work continues in the residential area of Adra Industrial City, where 5 housing units, a health center and three schools have been completed, in parallel with the construction of a highway parallel to the area.
The project manager of the residential area in Adra Industrial City, Engineer Anwar Muhammad, explained to SANA that the total area of the residential area is 1,800 hectares, and it is about 8 km away from the Adra administration center. Units, a municipality building, a health center and three schools for basic and secondary education, knowing that 50 percent of the area will be green spaces.
Muhammad confirmed that the General Company for Roads and Bridges implemented the entire infrastructure under a contract worth one billion Syrian pounds from water, electricity and sewage networks and delivered them to the entrances to the housing units. The residential area is called the Damascus Highway, with a length of 35 km, of which one km is currently built to be completed during the next phase.
Regarding the five completed residential blocks, Muhammad pointed out that each block consists of four floors, comprising 16 apartments, an average of 4 apartments per floor, with an area ranging between 88 and 132 square meters, allotted entirely. Exterior cladding works are currently underway for blocks No. 4 and 5, while the cladding rates are close to the first three blocks. 95 percent.
The project manager stated that one of the terms of delivery to the underwriting and designated persons is a complete external cladding and the provision of common services represented in the elevator house, marbled staircases and brick entrances, revealing the signing of another contract for the implementation of two residential blocks of 1600 square meters each block is currently under ratification to start implementation within a month.
