Congratulations:

The Beer Yaakov Local Council was officially announced today (Wednesday) as a new city in Israel, at the signing ceremony for a change in its municipal status with the participation of the Minister of the Interior, Ayelet Shaked.

Minister Shaked said: "Beer Yaakov is a local authority that has demonstrated growth and development and a change in the municipal status of the city in Israel will promote its continued development and prosperity for the benefit of the residents of the authority and the region.

Beer Yaakov is a strong authority that contributes to dealing with the housing crisis, absorbs housing and maintains proper management over the years.

Changing the status of the authority to the city will lead it to continued prosperity and economic development and even to population growth over the coming years.

"Not many heads of authorities get to turn their authority into a city and we have to learn from the good work done here by the municipal staff," Shaked said.

Nissim Gozlan, who became mayor from the council, received Beer Yaakov in 2003 with 7,000 residents and four kindergartens, and over the years under his tenure, 13,000 housing units were built there, and another 16,000 in the barrel.

Currently, there are 104 kindergartens and the hand is still outstretched.

The signing of the transformation of Be'er Ya'akov into a city came following the recommendation of the Central Geographic Committee, which examined the issue and determined that in light of the economic indicators and urban characteristics, the municipal status of the Be'er Ya'akov local council should be changed to a city.

I called Nissim Gozlan to tell him that from now on he is mayor!

Beer Yaakov became an example of a strong authority that absorbed housing and contributed greatly to dealing with the housing crisis, managed to establish itself financially in relation to population growth led by the mayor who took it a step further and ensured its development and prosperity.
