A construction worker fell from a bridge in southern Lower Saxony on Tuesday and was fatally injured.
As the police in Northeim reported on Wednesday, the 32-year-old had slipped from the flyover of Autobahn 7 over the B446 at the Nörten-Hardenberg junction the day before.
He then fell several meters into the depth.
Nörten-Hardenberg / Northeim - A rescue helicopter brought him to the hospital, where he died a little later.
The investigators took a closer look at the accident site, it said.
It cannot be ruled out that the man was only incorrectly secured at work.
