The CDU parliamentary group sharply attacked Thuringia's education minister Helmut Holter (left) because of his corona policy in schools.
The nationwide special way of doing without a proven test system had crashed, said the parliamentary spokesman for education policy, Christian Tischner, on Wednesday at a current hour in the Thuringian state parliament.
Erfurt - The government has lost control of the infection process.
"You are putting people in danger with your dogmatism and with your going it alone," said Tischner.
The background is a discussion that has been going on for months about the correct corona test strategy in Thuringia's schools.
Education Minister Holter has so far maintained a rather cautious use of tests - especially when the health system is under low stress.
This had also caused unrest in the government coalition of the Left, SPD and Greens.

Considering the abolition of the mask requirement in class
Saxony's Minister of Education and Cultural Affairs Christian Piwarz (CDU) is considering abolishing the mask requirement in school lessons after the autumn break.
While a mask would have to be worn in the school building with an incidence of 35 and over, it should no longer be necessary in the field or in class, the ministry said on Friday.
Several media had previously reported unanimously about the plans.

Light at the end of the tunnel: “Starlight Express” starts
After an 18-month pandemic break, the makers of the roller-skating musical “Starlight Express” in Bochum are looking forward to the resumption of the show on Sunday.
“I am sure that we will see tears on and behind the stage when it finally starts again.
That goes from the lighting technician to the tailoring to the leading actor - we all missed the audience feedback tremendously ”, said theater director Meinolf Müller of the German press agency.

On Tuesday, the three partners in the cabinet decided to put all schools in warning level two after the autumn vacation - combined with a test offer and the separation of students who have not been vaccinated, recovered or tested.
Holter accused the CDU of bringing political unrest into schools.
"The schools are working and they are working quietly," said the minister.
He defended his approach.
"We want to get back to normal." He also assured that there were enough corona tests available and that additional tests had been ordered.
Holter pointed out that if there were two mandatory tests per week in schools, two hours of lessons per week would be lost.
