Even if it no longer has as serious an impact on public life as it did a few months ago: The incidence value in the district, which states how many corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days at the Robert Koch Institute ( RKI) have been registered, increases sharply again.

Even if it no longer has as serious an impact on public life as it did a few months ago: The incidence value in the district, which states how many corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days at the Robert Koch Institute ( RKI) have been registered, increases sharply again.

District

- In the neighboring district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, the health department raised the white flag as a precaution. There are too many new infections to be able to process them on a daily basis, said the district office there. The effects are quite serious: the numbers reported to the RKI are sometimes significantly below the actual numbers in the neighboring district. Because only those cases that the health department has already contacted can be entered in the software for the transmission to the RKI. In practical terms, this meant that 486 positive cases were known in Tölz last week, but only 321 were reported to the RKI because the employees couldn't keep up with the processing.

In the Weilheim-Schongau district, however, everything has been running smoothly so far, according to Klaus Mergel, deputy press spokesman for the district office. “Our team at the Weilheim-Schongau health department has been able to process all cases on a daily basis. The numbers therefore agree with those of the RKI, ”said Mergel when asked by the local newspaper.

The reasons for this are of course primarily to be found in the fact that the infection rate in the Weilheim-Schongau district is currently much less worrying than in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district. While the incidence value there on Tuesday was 263.6, the RKI reported a value of 99.9 for our district. The people of Tölz have significantly more new cases to deal with than our health department: 338 new cases within seven days in the neighboring district were compared to 136 in the Weilheim-Schongau district.

In addition, the district office in Weilheim has now tried to get support again.

On Monday, as the deputy press spokesman reports, the first helpers from other authorities started their work in the tracing teams of the health department.

Even if the RKI statistics for the district currently still show the correct values - the statistics are still a problem.

The district office is still unable to make any specific statements about how many people in the district have been vaccinated.

For this reason, it is not possible to breakdown by age group in order to be able to see how much is still missing until the herd immunity is achieved and the corona restrictions can be lifted.

Clearly researched, on the other hand, is the occupancy of the intensive care beds in the district, which have recently been decisive for possible loosening or tightening of the corona regulations.

As of Tuesday afternoon, 20 of 24 intensive care beds in the Weilheim-Schongau district were occupied.

Most of them, however, with "normal" intensive care patients.

Only four Covid 19 patients were receiving intensive care at this time - three of them had to be ventilated.
